What we aim to be

Ultra.travel aims to be the world’s foremost premier community website for luxury travellers by showcasing the latest travel features written by top travel writers and providing up to date information on premium destinations from around the world. It offers its members the platform where they can participate in cutting-edge discussions, review and rate hotels, restaurants, attractions, cruise lines and airlines, and share their experiences of luxury travel. Ultra.travel’s mission is to create and maintain a vibrant and dynamic on-line premium travel community allowing its members to inspire and be inspired.

As a member

Membership of ultra.travel is free: use our sign up form to create your account and once registered you will be able to participate in discussions, submit your own reviews and share your experiences of luxury travel with other members. As a member you'll also be able to take advantage of our exclusive My Trips functionality, allowing you to turn your travel dreams into reality by choosing content from our site and working with our partners for a great price.

You will also be eligible for competitions and special offers from our partners which are only available to registered members.

Getting to know the Ultratravel Brand

Ultra.travel is part of the worldwide ultratravel brand which is owned by PGP Media Ltd, registered at Northside House, Mount Pleasant, Barnet EN4 9EE.

The Ultratravel brand was established in the UK publishing market in 2004 with a license agreement with the Daily Telegraph to distribute Ultratravel - a high quality oversized glossy publication that showcases superior editorial standards, with a wealth of locally generated travel content tailor-made for a region, including specialized reports on luxury international and regional travel destinations, the latest travel accessories, insider tips and.  It is distributed quarterly with the Daily Telegraph as a free supplement to over 500,000 of their most affluent readership.  With its proven success in the UK, Ultratravel has launched in India in 2010,  in the UAE in 2011, and in the USA in 2012. Furthermore, after the proven success of a special Golf edition distributed with the Daily Telegraph in April 2011, Ultratravel has the distribution potential for additional varied themed issues.  The magazines are not available for retail sale.

Following the complete acceptance by the Industry at large, ultratravel has become the gauge by which standards in the luxury travel business are now measured.

Since 2007, Ultratravel has held The ULTRAs - The Ultimate Luxury Travel Related Awards, a prestigious by invitation-only annual event and by which ultratravel has seen the strength of its' brand acknowledged by the global luxury travel industry.

Founder and Chairman

Its founder and chairman is Nick Perry, an industry expert with a media and travel background. Nick brings a wealth of experience to the company, as well as knowledge of both advertising and media businesses. Nick started his career in the media department of advertising agency J Walter Thompson before moving onto the media owner side by buying the Business Traveller magazine franchise in 1983. Starting with a UK edition, Perry Publications launched further editions of Business Traveller in the US, Germany, the Middle East, Asia/Pacific and China. In each market, Business Traveller ran an awards programme and event, and participated in exhibitions. Nick sold a majority stake in Business Traveller to Euromoney PLC in 1997 and stayed with the business until 2003, by which time it was wholly owned by Euromoney. Nick devised and registered ultratravel as a multi-media brand in 2004.

Ultratravel Currency Card

Ultratravel is proud to announce the launch of the first luxury travel currency card associated with Visa in the UK - The Ultratravel Currency Card. The card is available in Euros, Dollars, and Sterling, they are free to apply for, and with no annual fees, no overseas transaction fees, low fixed overseas ATM costs and competitive exchange rates, the cards offer premium travellers and their dependents a safe and convenient way to carry travel money whilst abroad. As an added benefit Ultratravel Currency Card holders will be able to take advantage of additional luxury travel benefits from our luxury travel partners.

Ultratravel Virtual - The Online Exhibition

Ultratravel was proud to bring you the first Ultratravel Virtual Online Exhibition in association with ttg. It is an innovative new online exhibition which took place on June 29th, 2011 – complete with attractive stands, helpful staff with new product information and exciting surprises. It was completely free for consumers to attend. 

Some of the world’s top luxury hotels, cruise companies, tour operators and destinations were on hand to speak directly to consumers, where they could from the comfort of their own home or office, see the latest products and chat live online to some of the world's top luxury travel suppliers

What else do we do?

Ultratravel organises high level Forums at major travel industry exhibitions around the world. ILTM Ultratravel Forums are comprised of high profile panels from a cross section of international luxury travel brands and currently take place in Cannes, Dubai, and Shanghai throughout the year.
