I know it might be a bit early to be thinking about Skiing, especially when we finally have some nice weather here in the UK - But I wondered if any one had any suggestions? Ive been Skiing quite a few times before - Mainly Europe - La Plagne - But I am keen to venture further afield.

Thoughts/Suggestions would be great appreciated...

Switzerland is a must! I stayed at the Mont Cervin Palace

Situated in the traffic-free Alpine village of Zermatt.

Its a 5 star family-run hotel but retains a friendly atmosphere. I'd recommend staying in a Suite as they have an open fireplace and a whilpool – some with a private sauna - perfect for soothing ski-weary muscles without leaving your room!...

Aspen is one of the world's best known resorts.

You can stay in the original town of Aspen, or at the ever-expanding Snowmass resort 20km (12 miles) away, which recently completed a multi-billion pound redevelopment.

The main resort of Aspen town itself has several faces. In one it has become synonymous with excess, being home to some of the world's most opulent and expensive properties, as well as a local airport full of private jets. In another it has a reputation for liberal policies which seems at odds with the first - the resort famously banned fur coats at one time!!

Just enjoy the superb skiing, which includes the biggest lift-served vertical in the USA, and a buzzing nightlife.

Chalet Artemis is a six-bedroom wonder-chalet in St Anton, Austria; with its own wellness centre, private cinema and spa facilities - Simple-chic is, with minimalist design mixing harmoniously with big, fluffy shrugs and faux fur. The wellness area consists of a swimming pool, steam room, sauna and massage facilities while the hot tub provides the perfect excuse to enjoy a crisp glass of Laurent Perrier!

Beaver Creek, USA is a prime ski in/ski out resort just ten miles from Vail. Beaver Creek is much smaller and quieter and consequently has a more intimate atmosphere that is suited to both families and couples in search of a romantic break. With over 2500 acres of skiable ground to cover, it’s linked on piste, to the nearby hamlets of Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead, but these are simply outposts of the ski area, providing further slopeside accommodation.
