overview

Botswana lies right at the heart of Africa, landlocked by South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe. If safari is top of your agenda, the incredible wilderness areas of Botswana won’t disappoint. The Okavango Delta is one of the world’s most revered safari spots with some of the highest concentrations of wildlife. Each year between January and April the Kwando River bursts its banks and floods the plains transforming the land into a mass of birds and animals in search of sustenance. The Chobe National Park lies to the northeast of the Delta, home to vast numbers of elephant which congregate along two rivers during the dry season from May to September, peak game viewing season. Botswana is also home to a good range of small and exclusive luxury camps.
