Kenya

  • Kenya

overview

Kenya is East Africa at it’s most iconic and diverse. About the size of France, here you have the Masai Mara National Reserve with its annual wildebeest and zebra migration and the strong likelihood of seeing the Big Five. Tsavo National Park may be Kenya’s largest national park, but it’s Amboseli National Park that has Kenya’s most famous picture postcard views. Mount Kenya meanwhile has equatorial glaciers and sublime peaks to conquer. Amongst all this are some of the most sought after safari lodges in the world which can be combined with a stay in five-star luxury on the stunning Indian Ocean coast with its white sand beaches and coral reefs.

what to do

when to go

Temperatures over much of Kenya are subtropical or temperate due to the reduction of temperature with altitude. Weather is similar to California or summer in France. Only the coastal lowlands experience constant high temperatures and humidity but have regular daytime sea breezes and long hours of sunshine. There is a double rainy season between March and May and between November and December.
