We had a wonderful weekend in the Sierras de Cordoba, in central Argentina, just an hour's flight from Buenos Aires.

La Cumbre is a quaint little village in the middle of the Valle de Punilla and lots of artists live around this area. We stayed at a small estancia-hotel: El Puerto Alegre (www.elpuertoalegre.com). it was so nice, with fantastic views and rooms decorated in an English countryside style. Service and food are excellent and it felt like being at home.

There are lots of activities to do in the area: horseback riding, golf, nice walks, wonderful rivers and also paragliding.

I recommend flying with LAN which is more trustable in schedule, etc.
