We flew British Airways from Heathrow to Boston's Logan Airport in seven hours on Monday and settled into the Hyatt Regency Hotel downtown. It's not a bad hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff, but the rooms are looking a bit jaded. If we came to Boston again I think we would look to stay in the seafront area. The Marriot on the Wharf looked a good option.

We walked the Freedom Trail that I guess everyone does (Paul Revere's House is worth a visit) and spent the second day doing more of the extended area. We went up the to the 50th floor of the Prudential Building for the panoramic view which was well worth the visit.

Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall areas are good for the food options available - a good area to sit and have a beer and people watch too.

Now we are travelling for a couple of weeks around New England by car, more later...
