If you're going to go skiing, why not do it with as much comfort as possible!!
I had the fortune to stay at the Suvretta House Hotel in St Moritz with some aquaintances and could not recommend it highly enough. Every single person in the hotel was helpful and friendly and seemed to speak every language needed. The hotel has it's own ski runs, lifts and mountain restaurants, so it is a one minute walk to the lift and an easy ski back to the hotel.
The hotel manages to be both luxurious and welcoming whilst also catering for those with children with a daily club, separate eating area and ski slopes & ski school with activities.
It is very close to the town centre and they will chauffeur you there and back in a wonderful old-fashioned bus, but to be honest, with the skiing, eating and gym and spa - oh and the outside hot tub - I don't see why you would ever want to leave the hotel!
