We discovered Treetops through SLH - Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The eco-lodge is deep in the bush near Rotorua and was built using local materials, blending perfectly with the environment.
We stayed in a luxurious villa with views of the bush and a small but hopefully extinct volcanic cone. Our every need was catered for and we were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff.
Unfortunately we did not have time to sample the many activities on offer but we did enjoy a walk to the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls. The food was superb and in all, it was a most memorable experience.
